The fiber optic reel is designed to operate in difficult conditions with poor radio communication or under the influence of EW systems and is able to maintain data confidentiality thanks to a unique fiber optic transmission technology. The technology is based on the use of fiber optics, which is not affected by EW systems or jamming by other electronic devices. Thanks to the use of fiber optics, the pilot can transmit information over long distances without interference. The single-mode optical fiber is housed in a robust housing and protected from mechanical damage – such damage can impair or make data transmission impossible. The range of systems equipped with this fiber is 5 km, which is sufficient for reconnaissance, surveying from heights, or transferring cargo over this distance. Support for the TTL/S.BUS data format allows the reel to be integrated into a variety of quadcopter systems. The data rate of 0~1 Mbps provides fast video and other data transmission, and the bi-directional mode allows data to be transmitted in two directions simultaneously.
